 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a more proactive and directive form of therapy. The relationship with your counsellor is collaborative and he or she will adopt a more proactive approach to you and your needs. Your therapist will help you to explore and challenge the nature of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, your assumptions on life and your core beliefs. Therapy will involve goal setting, homework and practise. You will learn new ways of managing psychological, emotional, behavioural and physical problems.
